WPC 2012 in Toronto was a blast. A lot of exciting announcements were made by Microsoft including the October 29th release date of Windows 8. In addition, Windows Server 2012 will be released in the first week of August. Microsoft also reiterated the importance of the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) and based their findings in a study conducted by IDC that mentioned a typical 50-person Microsoft partner organization with between US $5-10M in revenue and 2 – 5 competencies can realize US $320,000 in value directly from MPN benefits. According to Julie Bennani, general manager of the Microsoft Partner Network, there are more than 10,000 gold and 25,000 silver competency partners. Here are some pictures from a session at WPC that went over the current state of MPN. We look forward to attending WPC 2013 next year in familiar Houston, TX (location of Convergence 2012).
